Principal's Message

On behalf of the staff at Jewett Elementary School, I am happy to welcome you to our school!

I have worked with District 6 for 10 years as a TWI (Spanish Two-Way Immersion) teacher, principal, and proud parent of a Jewett student.

I believe that all children have the right to learn and progress. The partnership between families, the community and school are the best way to provide children with opportunities for growth and development. We know that a strong partnership with our families will make a great difference in your child’s education. As your partner, we share these responsibilities with you daily. We ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:

1. Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experiences.
2. Completes all assignments given by teachers daily.
3. Reads at home daily to develop a love for reading and to improve literacy skills.
4. Knows that you expect him/her to succeed in school academically and behaviorally.
